Fans of the famous Mrs Brown’s Boys family will know they spend much of their free time in Florida, where Brendan O’Carroll has a home base

Danny O’Carroll quickly ditched Ireland and jetted off to sunny Florida for some fun on the golf course with friends and family after missing out on the glitter ball trophy at the Dancing With The Stars final.

Danny took to Instagram to share some updates from the golf course on Thursday. Fans of the famous Mrs Brown’s Boys family will know they spend much of their free time in Florida, where Brendan O’Carroll has a home base.

The patriarch of the family even flew in from Florida to surprise his son on the set of Dancing With The Stars, a reunion which ended up being one of the most emotional moments of the series.

Brendan lives in Florida with his wife Jenny when he’s not filming Mrs Brown’s Boys and it seems he took his son back with him to enjoy some much-needed rest and relaxation after the demanding dance series.

Danny previously gushed about his close relationship with his father, and shared his plans to fly to Florida after the show.

He told RSVP: “I am used to the distance, but I still miss him like crazy. I last saw him at Christmas and haven’t seen him since,” he said.

“Once Dancing With The Stars is over, I’ll go on a trip to Florida and spend time with him.

“I could sit here all day and give you every compliment under the sun and nothing would come close to what he means to me. He is the most amazing human.”

Danny opened up to RSVP about a possible move to Florida in the future to spend more time with his father.

“I love Ireland and it would be hard to get me out of this place. I’m a homebird. I also like the sun and I find that I wake up with a smile on my face when I’m in Florida when I see the sun. It’s hard not to think about that. I’ve no plans to move right now, but who knows what the future holds”.
