Graham Norton, Mrs Brown’s Boys and Boyzone: No Matter What documentary are flying the Irish flag at this year’s UK National Television Awards.
Other Irish shows to receive NTA nominations will also include TV show Rivals and MobLand which stars Pierce Brosnan.
Rivals has been nominated for new drama alongside BBC murder mystery Ludwig, as well as ITV’s Code of Silence.
Mrs Brown’s Boys was nominated in the comedy category, alongside Gavin And Stacey At Christmas, as well as Brassic and Michael McIntyre’s 25th Stand Up Special. McIntyre was also nominated for the Bruce Forsyth entertainment award category, alongside The Graham Norton Show, Would I Lie To You? and The Masked Singer.
Other household names receiving a nod include former Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, who has been nominated for best presenter, alongside Traitors’ Claudia Winkelman, Alison Hammond, Stacey Solomon, as well as Ant & Dec.
Adolescence pair Owen Cooper and Stephen Graham have also received nods for the drama performance category.
Speaking of Mrs Brown’s Boys, Brendan O’Carroll said he has no idea why Mrs Brown’s Boys continues to be such a success, but he did claim that every storyline carries a ring of truth to it. More on this here.
