The actor, famed for his role as Buster Brady on hit comedy Mrs Brown’s Boys, enjoyed a relaxing break in a luxurious hotel near his Donegal home to mark the milestone birthday
It’s a milestone week for Danny O’Carroll as the actor celebrated his 40th birthday in style.
The Mrs Brown’s Boys star marked the happy occasion by treating himself to a stay in the luxurious Shandon Hotel & Spa in Donegal.
Danny shared glimpses into his birthday celebrations on Instagram, thanking the swanky hotel for treating him to chocolates in his room as well as relaxing in their outdoor hot tub.
The Buster Brady actor was also inundated with birthday messages from his family, friends and followers.
Danny enjoyed the break in Donegal, where he lives with wife Amanda and their sons Jamie and Blake, all of whom co-star with him in Mrs Brown’s Boys.
It has been a busy time for the O’Carroll family, who earlier this month were rehearsing for the annual Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas specials.
Posting a picture of himself, dad Brendan and son Jamie a couple of weeks ago, Danny wrote: “3 generations working together. I’m one lucky guy.”
One fan commented underneath: “I see a Christmas tree… Christmas special, I hope!”
A second said: “Can’t wait for Christmas specials!!!”
While another fan added: “Can’t wait for Christmas special, you’re all fab”.
As well as the annual festive shows, a brand new series of Mrs Brown’s Boys aired on BBC this autumn for the first time since 2013.
And it looks like fans in Ireland won’t have too long to wait to watch the new episodes.
RTE has confirmed that it will also be showing the latest series, with a spokesperson telling RSVP Live back in August: “Yes, Mrs Brown’s Boys will be back on RTE. The date is to be confirmed, but [it will be] this autumn.”
