Eilish O’Carroll is always happy to return to Mrs Brown’s Boys as new series confirmed

Despite being a regular feature on Christmas schedules for more than a decade, the four new episodes of Mrs Brown’s Boys will be the first mini-series run on TV since 2013

Eilish O’Carroll is delighted to be back soon filming for a next series of Mrs Brown’s Boys.

The news was revealed earlier today that the show would officially be returning for a four-episode mini-series.

When asked if she’s always happy to revisit the show, Eilish said that she loved it.

It shouldn’t be too long until the upcoming series, as Eilish revealed they start filming next month.

Speaking to RSVP Live, she said: “We’re going over to Glasgow on the 18th of April until the 18th of May, where we’ll be recording four new episodes of Mrs Brown’s Boys. It’s very exciting.”

Speaking about whether she enjoys returning for new episodes of the show, Eilish said: “Yes, I love it. It’s so fun to do it.

“The end result is very funny. Laughter is contagious, you know? It has a real feelgood factor attached to it. We all feel great when we’ve had a good laugh, and we also feel great when we’ve had a good cry, I think both of those emotions are very close to each other – there is a release.”

She continued: “There is a release, and it’s lovely to do something you love doing, and it’s great to have a laugh while you’re doing it. It’s a two way street – if you’re enjoying yourself, the audience are enjoying themselves.”

Ahead of filming the show however, Eilish is in the Viking Theatre until the 11th of March performing her one woman show, Live, Love, Laugh.
