Danny O’Carroll has shared a “proud dad moment” after his son Blake’s latest achievement.

The Mrs Brown’s Boys star shares sons Jamie and Blake with co-star Amanda Woods, whom he split with last year.

Being a dad is Danny’s favourite job and he often takes to social media to share his pride in both of his sons.

This week, the Dancing With The Stars finalist revealed that his son Blake is quite a talented boxer – and recently won gold at a competition.

Sharing a video of Blake putting his best foot forward, Danny wrote on Instagram: “Proud Dad moment. @blakeocarroll takes gold at the inter county championships.”

Of course, he was met with support from his friends and followers.

One person commented: “I can’t believe how grown up he is. Wow. Great job. Congratulations.”

“Well done Blake. Fantastic,” said another.

A third fan gushed: “Well done Blake you are gonna smash it”.

While a fourth follower added: “Oh wow! Boxing. I never would have pictured that. Well done!”

It seems Danny’s sons have a knack for sport, as eldest son Jamie is a very talented rugby player.

Jamie and Blake have both appeared on Mrs Brown’s Boys alongside their dad, grandad Brendan and other family members over the years.

Although he has given his sons a taste for life as an actor, Danny says there is no pressure for his boys to follow in his footsteps.

Revealing that Jamie, who has appeared on the show since he was five years old, almost didn’t go through with his role as Bono, he previously told RSVP Magazine: “I remember collecting him from the airport and he said that he didn’t want to do it anymore, he was too nervous. I said that it was no problem and he didn’t have to do anything.

“I brought him into rehearsals the following day, his grandad had a little chat with him and he agreed to do it.

“From there, he was hooked and everyone wanted him to stay in the cast. He was so good, I don’t know where he gets it from [jokes]!

“As long as they are happy and healthy, I will be happy. Whether they go down the road of acting or not, it doesn’t bother me.

“There as one stage where Jamie wanted to be a marine biologist and I was a bit shocked. I don’t know where he got that from.”
