Mrs Brown’s Boys star expecting second baby after miscarriage after ‘healing’

Gary Hollywood, who played Dino Doyle in the hit BBC show Mrs Brown’s Boys, and his wife Cherylanne are expecting their second child together.

BBC’s Mrs Brown’s Boys star Gary Hollywood and his wife Cherylanne are thrilled to announce they’re expecting their second child. The Scottish actor, best known for his role as hairdresser Dino Doyle on the popular BBC show, married Cherylanne five years ago and they already share a four year old son, Ollie.

The couple is over the moon about expanding their family and revealed that Cherylanne is currently 16 weeks pregnant, with plans to discover the baby’s gender soon.

The couple has lovingly referred to their upcoming addition as their “rainbow” baby, following the devastating miscarriage they experienced last year, 12 weeks into the pregnancy. An elated 44 year old Gary shared: “This news has just made up our year. We couldn’t be happier.”

Cherylanne, 35, revealed that their eldest son Ollie is already “so excited” about becoming a big brother. She amusingly added that Ollie has been encouraging her to eat pink food in hopes of having a baby sister because he doesn’t want to share his toys.

In an exclusive with OK! magazine, Cherylanne opened up about discovering her pregnancy shortly after her birthday in February, following a period of trying. She expressed her joy: “We are just over the moon. After I miscarried I said that we wouldn’t do it again, but I think that was just the process of healing. I went into my 12-week scan feeling excited, but leaving with absolute devastation. So this time around I do often think about something going wrong, but I’m also not trying to wish this time away. It’s definitely a mixture of emotions, but we couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Cherylanne noted that unlike her pregnancy with Ollie, where she had few symptoms or cravings, this time she’s developed a significant sweet tooth, indulging in ice cream nightly and experiencing nausea and fatigue she didn’t have before. This has led to speculation about whether these signs might indicate a baby girl is on the way.
